He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.

OSDD-2 is characterized by identity alteration due to brainwashing, torture, thought reform, or otherwise coercion-based dissociation. Examples include being indoctrinated into a cult, programming, being held captive, etc.

where are all the prisoners of war with OSDD-2? Where are all the religious captives and forced war brides with OSDD-2? Where is it in academia, in medical circles?

Both OSDD labels are primarily used for when they strongly suspect DID and they basically think it is DID, but for whatever reason it's not technically fulfilling the diagnostic criteria- sometimes because it's an emergency room/crisis setting and they can't get the proper history to make that dx, sometimes for other reasons

Just like how there's a diagnosis for "atypical anorexia"
Atypical anorexia really isn't that different from anorexia, but it's there because someone with anorexia may relapse and need help, but specifically anorexia has specific weight requirements and they can't medically have anorexia without being under that weight requirement- but medical professionals don't exactly want to wait around
You say all this and that, but you're spreading one of the most common forms of misinformation that's around nowadays in regards to all this

I'm not pulling it out of my ass that OSDD isn't its own entirely separate thing, that it's chiefly used when they can't say it's DID due to technicalities
